Accommodations
Steps to Accommodation
If you have a documented disability, you may request accommodations through Brighton.
Requests should be submitted at least two weeks (10 working days) prior to your selected start date to allow adequate processing time. To request accommodations through Brighton:
- Download Accomodation Form: CLICK HERE
- Gather supporting documentation. Your disability must be acknowledged by a medical provider (i.e. doctor, psychiatrist, etc.) or an approved testing service on company letterhead.
- Submit copies of all items to accommodations@brighton.learnkey.com
- Processing will begin when all documents are received.
Accommodations are not retroactive. Approved requests received after the course start date will be effective as of the date appropriate documentation and the completed request form were received by Accommodation Department.
Documentation for permanent disabilities remains on file with Accommodations. Your documentation remains confidential and is kept on file in Student Account for verification purposes.
Notify Accommodations Department of any schedule changes that may occur during your program of study to ensure accommodations are in place. If you withdraw or are suspended from Brighton, you must contact Accommodations upon return to re-establish accommodations. To continue receiving accommodations, you are required to complete a new Accommodation Request Form when the terms of agreement has expired on your contract.
Brighton can grant temporary accommodations for unexpected or inevitable medical issues, such as major surgery or hospitalization. If approved, accommodations will be in place for the remainder of the current course; additional documentation will be requested to extend services.
Please note: Brighton cannot provide accommodations that are not properly requested.
